Level 1A Pool & Plantroom Operator Training - Water Testing Methods
Course Tutor:- Malcolm Bartier M.Inst.S.Eng.
This is a practical half-day training course for pool supervisers who are responsible for carrying out water testing. A Certificate of Attendance for this course is issued.
The tests normally covered are Chlorine, Bromine, pH, Total Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, Cyanuric Acid, Sulphates, and Chlorides. TDS is discussed as well as Water Balance, and the Disinfection Index.
Each test is fully explained and demonstrated, and possible interference from other chemical residuals is brought to the attention of the students, so that they can accurately determine the chemical levels present.
After each test, or series of tests have been explained, the students are invited to carry out the test themselves, using their own test equipment, to ensure that they are fully conversant with the testing methods.
